Laura is my best friend and is the love of my life.  Where I am an introverted engineering type, she is an extroverted artist type, so we complement one another. Laura’s career before becoming a stay-at-home mother was in outdoor education.  She is also an artist and has had several shows of her mixed-media work. She enjoys cooking, yoga, meditation, Reiki, hiking, camping, rock climbing and being a prayer chaplain at her church.

Laura loves her role as a stay-at-home mom.  Last night before bed, we each gave thanks for something in our day.  Gracen said he was thankful for, “…having joy time with Mommy.”  They had spent a good deal of the bedtime routine giggling.  Gracen would shout at the top of his lungs, “Ready Set GO,” and they would ‘race’ to the bathroom to brush his teeth, and then race to the bed, and then race one more time back and forth for good measure. Gracen will often exclaim, “It’s such a beautiful day!” and I know that is Laura’s influence.  She will always pass on her positive outlook to her children. I know she will cherish every moment with a second child as much as she does with Gracen.
